Have you recorded lots of your favorite TV programs via TiVo DVR, and want to burn them to DVD for playback as well as keeping backups? Yes, some people have the needs. Each time when I skim over discussion forums, I always see people asking questions like this: “I have TiVo and I have downloaded some programs, using TiVo Desktop, onto my computer. The thing is, I want to be able to view these programs onto my laptop, but I can not burn a DVD with the TiVo format. Is there anything I can do to convert it? Thanks!” To solve this universal problem once and for all, I specially write this post to show you guys how to burn TiVo files to DVD, if you are looking for such a solution, just feel free to read on it.

With Mac FLV video Converter, converting flash video .flv to AVI, MP4, MOV, MKV, WMV.

Required software:

First of all, you should transfer your recorded files which you want to burn to DVD from your TiVo box to your personal PC via TiVo Desktop, that is “Pick Recordings to Transfer”. Then do as the following instruction shown:

I often record some wonderful parts of TV shows while watching them with my TiVo HD DVR. I guess you guys may do the same thing as I do. Recording is easy, however playing these TiVo files with computer media players, or portable devices, or some other gadgets is difficult. Since TiVo files are saved by digital video recorders in their proprietary format with copyright protection, it’s technically impossible to play recorded TV programs on other players without format conversion. To make these files possible for playback on other media players or devices, I often use Pavtube Video Converter to do conversion job. Because of its beautiful performance, especially for it does not let my video and audio go in separate ways, I’d like to share its detailed instruction here, hope it can definitely help you guys who are having this requirement.

First of all, download and install Pavtube Video Converter.

Step 1: Import TiVo files

Once you run this program, you will see the main interface as below. You are allowed to click “Add” button to load TiVo files into this utility.

Mac Tod converter provides several optimized seetings for iPod adn iPhone.

Step 2: Select output format and set save path

MTS Converter is a professional but easy-to-use MTS Video Converter.

Click the drop-down list of “Format” to select an output format according to your end use of the output files: add to iPhone for playback, you can select MP4 or MOV; import to BlackBerry for entertainment, you can choose AVI, WMV, or MP4; insert to PPT for presentation, you can select WMV or MPG; upload to your personal blogs or video-sharing website, you can select FLV, etc. All in all, you can choose whatever format as you like. Here I choose the .mp4 format for my PS3 as an example.

Meanwhile, you can click the folder icon at the end of “Output” to specify where to locate the output files. If you want to combine all the TiVo files you added into this program to be as a single file, you can tick the checkbox “Merge into one file”.

Step 3: Set advanced settings

If you want to adjust the audio and video parameters of your TiVo files, you can click “Settings” button to do it. The following pop-up window allows you to change codec, the figures of bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, etc. so that you can do advanced settings according to your own requirements. Generally speaking, the larger figures generate larger file size but better quality; the smaller values produce smaller file size but inferior image quality. If you are not good at this step, you can totally skip it.

and audio formats including AVI, MPEG, WMV, MP4, DivX, H.264/AVC, MOV, 3GP, 3GP2,

MP3, WAV, WMA, AC3, M4A, OGG, RA, AU, etc

As soon as the above mentioned steps are finished, you can click “Convert” button to start conversion, and the output files can be found via click “Open” button after conversion task is done.

Well, done, hope this helps.

Since many fresh users of iPhone do not know how to make their own ringtones via iTunes, this post aims to solve this problem, if you are in need, please go along with it, if not, just skip it at will.

Note:

The iPhone Ringtone Maker was made with the ease-of-use in mind; instructions are provided on each step, guiding you through the process of making your own ringtones.

This method is available from firmware 1.12 to the latest firmware 3.12. Suggest you to rename the ringtones in iTunes after they are made well. So that it will never occur the problems that iPhone can not find ringtones while sync or iTunes prompts the ringtones can not be synchronized.

Okay, now let’s begin.

Step one:

YouTube Video Converter is a powerful video downloader and converter made specifically for youtube.com to convert any YouTube videos.

Open iTunes, get into the Music list, and find the song you want to make as iPhone ringtone. For example: Symphony No. 9 (Scherzo), double-click it to play, and then you can see iTunes showing the playing time. Record the start time and end time of the climax part which will be made as ringtone, such as 0:10-0:40, do remember that the length of iPhone ringtone can not be more than 40 seconds.

Step two:

Right-click on the song, select “Get Info” > “Options”. Insert start time and end time, then click “OK”. If you want to have a larger volume ringtone, you can adjust it here as well.

Step three:

Back to the iTunes music list interface, right-click the song again, and select "Create AAC Version" in the menu, after that you will see there is another similar file in the list with shorter playing time. This is the original source of your ringtone.

Right-click on this file, and select “Show in Windows Explorer” in the menu, then change the file extension from .m4a to .m4r.

Double-click on the .m4r file, and then you will see it is added to Ringtones list.

The next is very important! Right-click on this file, click “Get Info”> “Info”, and then change the file name.

Well, finished. By the way, do remember go back to the music list to uncheck the start time and end time of your song, otherwise, only the selected part will be played each time you play the song.

I wish AVCHD Converter to convert mod files to an alternative format to AVI, MPG, WMV.

If you have higher expectation of making audio files in movies or videos to be as your iPhone ringtone, iTunes can not meet your requirements so far. In that case I recommend you to use Pavtube Ringtone Maker, I’ve been in use of it for sometime, and it works well to extract audio files from my video files, which enriched the ringtone source for my iPhone. Share it here, and hope it would be of some help for you as well.

As far as I know, some people use AnyDVD to remove protections of their Blu-ray discs firstly, and then use an MTS/M2TS Converter to convert the .m2ts BD files into their wanted media formats. Well, to assist you guys to simplify the conversion procedures, it’s my pleasure here to share a pretty good Blu-ray ripper to you all, hope it will be of great help for you who are searching for this solution just right.

YouTube converter for Mac is a Mac software ,it could helps you convert YouTube flv video to IPOD,IPHONE,BLACKBERRY,mobile phones.

The application I recommend is Pavtube Blu-ray ripper, which can remove BD protections as well as do format conversion simultaneously without audio and video out of sync issues. All right, let’s have a look at its detailed instruction together now.

Step 1: Load Blu-ray files into Pavtube Blu-ray ripper

You can import BD files into this program in three ways, namely via “DVD Rom”, “DVD Folder” and “IFO/ISO”.

Step 2: Select output format and set destination folder

Video Converter for Mac is a professional Mac Video Converter which can perfectly convert video on Macintosh.

For instance, you can select format for your iPod, iPhone, PSP, Apple TV, or other devices, or directly copy them to the hard drive of your PC, or remux them to other formats without recode, etc. Here I select ripping Blu-rays to the hard drive of my PS3 as an example.

At the same time, you can click the folder icon at the opposite side of “Output” to specify where to locate the ripped Blu-ray files. Additionally, if you want to combine all the imported BD files to be as a single file, you can tick the checkbox “Merge into one file” to realize it.

Step 3: Set advanced settings

Press “Settings” button, the interface as below will pop up, on which you can adjust video and audio parameters like codec name, respect ratio, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate, and audio channel.
